Everybody claims to know what a fake looks like but I work in manufacturing and I can tell you that there are a lot of variations in between lots and even more if there’s multiple locations making the same/similar products for a company

I live in Golden Colorado. Have been in the factory store. They have the US factory knives on the top shelf, and the Chinese factory knives on the lower shelves. There are genuine Chinese Spyderco knives. Thus my question is, how do you tell a fake Chinese Spyderco from a real Chinese Spyderco?

I bought a new High Standard Victor for 225 $ in 1978, sold it for 500$in 1995 it was a big mistake because I couldn't find anything to compare to it. I just recently found a 1978 Victor in excellent condition and gave 900 $but so glad to have 1 back, best target ever made 😊

I’ve owned & used my gifted Spyderco for over 23 years. Why bother with a clone when the metal and hardness of the blade is what you pay is what you get. There is a probability that the material will also rust out over time on the clone.

i bought a green g10 endura on ebay from a hong kong seller i didnt think it was counterfeit until i saw a video about the clarity of the triangle on the head of the spyder logo

I wouldn't worry too much about the Box, they can put a piece of crap in a box, and its still a piece of crap. I would worry more about the knife itself...

1 thirty in you called Spyderco's "overpriced" --- I almost spit out my coffe - I know this video is 7 years old, but if you look today pricing on Spydercos has remained stable, and only small increases to pricing in the past year or so (due to all the BS we had to deal with the coof)... so that comment to me didn't age well - meanwhile, Benchmade asking the prices they are - now that's something worthy of being called "overpriced" - and the QC is garbage, bad grinds, uneven plunges, nothing exciting... Spyderco on the other hand continues to create new products, and even their own steel!

I also appreciated that you commented on past experience of other fakes you've seen. Very helpful information. I was wondering, have you made a similar fake vs. real video for the Spyderco Shaman? I just subscribed to your channel, so I will try to search for it. My son and I both have a Shaman in black G10 - one was purchased from a very reputable dealer and the other was purchased from a place I don't trust as much, so it makes me wonder. Even if you haven't made such a video, I can still use a lot of the tips from this video for things to look for. Thanks again!🙂👍

I’m curious if ya had any luck with finding a buyer or someone that’s interested? I too have one of these gauges. It was given to me as a gift from a local VW aftermarket parts supplier in my hometown back in the early 1990’s. I’ve always cherished it because it was different than others but never knew the history on it. Thank you for sharing. ✌🏽

good catch! the key is the line especially the regulator - regulator has different flow capacity, say A2000/B2000/B3000/B4000 of max 400/2K/3L and 4K L/min, and A2000 - I guess similar as built in one - as 2X pressure drop of B2000. Mine regulator seems never work - same 10020 - and manifold on market is only for 10020C. CAT will forward your email to reseller who tells me CAT has no support. So I am not sure whether 10020C manifold can be used on 10020. BTW, China has made many good regulators, but on US market I can hardly see the famous brands: Airtac, SNS, etc.

Cool mods! It pays to tweak compressors so they serve you better. I have one of those POS bought used. It was the last straw to convince me to buy used industrial compressors so I did. Now it's an expansion tank (the wheels are handy for that).

Les, how are we supposed to contact you regarding the knives you sell?

Both these militarys looks wrong the website shows only 2 backs screws and a pressed pin near the pivot. Either way spyderco is confusing and with so many clones i tend to just stay away from the brand all together.

I ran my drain line the same way and immediately realized when I tip my compressor back, the extended drain catches on everything. I then ran it out the side and it now works perfect

Thanks for the info, it really is useful. But dude, hold these things still, and let the viewer get a good look. You're shaking these things around like an epileptic. Yes, we can pause to take a look, but the video quality on the pause when you are moving around so much smears the image.
